An Olympic medalist and four-time speed skiing world champion, Jeff Hamilton knows that being effective requires focus, commitment and character. In 2002, Hamilton applied these qualities to his real estate business and quickly became one of the most successful brokers in Lake Tahoe. In addition to being a Sierra Sotheby’s leading California agent for the past six years, he is the Managing Broker for the company.

Hamilton has represented buyers and sellers in conjunction with Tahoe’s most iconic properties, including the highest priced California lakefront and the highest priced home in Squaw Valley. A member of the prestigious Global Market Leaders, a network of 40 Sotheby’s International Realty’s agents from around the world Hamilton understands that regardless its valuation, every home reflects the value of the life within. While he guides clients through a wide variety of transactions, specializing in Martis Camp, Squaw Valley and Sugar Bowl, Hamilton particularly enjoys the challenges posed by Lake Front transactions involving land use regulations and multiple government agencies.

A long time Tahoe resident, community is personal for Hamilton. He serves on the Sugar Bowl Academy Board, as well as on the Auburn Ski Club Board; he recently moved from a position on the Board of the Truckee Donner Land Trust to serve on its Land Acquisition Committee, remaining passionate about preserving open spaces. Hamilton is also involved with the 49er Foundation and the Gene Upshaw Foundation.

Hamilton’s daughters attend Sugar Bowl Academy as Nordic racers and in order to keep up with his girls, he is making the transition from skiing fast downhill to skiing as fast as he can uphill.
